Peas Pulao is a one pot meal. Normally, it is a part of a
typical north Indian Thali. It is mild, healthy with the flavor of cumin and
peas. My son likes it for its mild sweetness and it goes well with any spicy
side dish or even plain curd. Here is the recipe of peas pulav

Method:
- Wash and soak basmati rice for atleast ½ hour. Keep aside.
- If you are planning to make it in pressure cooker, use pressure cooker for frying, else use a pan.
- Heat pan/pressure cooker, add ghee, elaichi, bay leaf, cumin , saunf & g.chilly(if using).
- Fry till cumin crackles. Do not burn the jeera.
- Add peas and sauté for a minute in low flame.
- Add 2 cups water and salt and bring to boil.
- Add soaked rice and mix well. Close the lid of the pressure cooker. Alternatively, you can transfer the contents to the rice cooker and cooker till its done. If using pressure cooker, cook for one whistle and switch off flame.
- Once pressure subsides, fluff the rice with a fork.
- Serve hot with any side dish of your choice.
Notes:
Add water based on your basmati rice. I usually add 2 cups but it
depends on quality of the rice.
You can also add a few raising before sauting peas.
